What Amplify Field Invoicing does
A mobile-first tool for HVAC and home-service technicians to build estimates and invoices on site: materials with markups, labor, fees, discounts and tax, with a clean customer-facing preview.
The app currently runs in demo mode: data is saved only in your browser on this device. Don't enter real customer information yet.
Create an estimate
- Tap Estimate in the bottom bar (or New estimate on the app home).
- Tap Search or add customer and choose or create a customer.
- Enter a job title, address and any notes for the customer.
- Add materials, labor and fees, then tap Save draft or Preview.

Materials and markup
Each material line has a description, quantity, unit cost and markup. Tap 20%, 30%, 40% or 50%, or type a custom percentage. Each line can use a different markup.
Selling price = cost × (1 + markup ÷ 100). Example: a $200 blower motor at 50% markup is $300 to the customer.
Your costs, markups and "Materials Gross Profit" are internal only and never appear on the customer preview. Materials Gross Profit doesn't include labor costs or overhead.

Labor, fees, discounts and tax
- Labor can be a flat price or hours × hourly rate.
- Quick-add fees like Service call, Trip charge or Disposal, or add your own.
- Discounts can be a dollar amount or a percentage.
- Set a tax rate and choose whether it applies to materials, labor and/or fees. Check your local tax rules; you are responsible for the rates you enter.

Preview customer documents
Tap Preview in the builder, or Customer preview on a saved document. The preview shows only customer prices, labor, fees, discount, tax and total.

Create an invoice without an estimate
Tap Invoice in the bottom bar. The builder works exactly like estimates. Invoices get their own numbers (INV-…), separate from estimates (EST-…).

Estimate approval and conversion
Today: you can record a customer's approval yourself and tap Convert to invoice. This creates a new linked invoice; the original estimate is kept unchanged. Works now
Planned: customers will receive and approve estimates through your connected CRM, and approvals will sync back automatically. Requires CRM integration
Connect your business account
When the CRM integration is available, you'll install the app from your CRM's marketplace and approve access for your business account. Each business account will be kept separate.
Once connected, you'll be able to send estimates and invoices, sync contacts and collect payments. Requires CRM integration
Until then, sending and payment buttons are disabled. Nothing is sent and no payments are processed.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
My drafts disappeared. Demo data lives in this browser only. Clearing site data, private browsing, or switching devices will not show them.
Why can't I send an estimate? Sending requires the CRM integration, which isn't connected yet.
Can customers see my costs? No. The preview is built from customer prices only.
The totals look off by a cent. Each line is rounded to the cent before totals are added, just as on a printed invoice.
How do I start over? Settings → Reset to sample data.
